The Beginning

Some ideas are not born at a desk, not in long meetings, and definitely not after a perfectly structured plan. Some ideas simply happen in a café. Somewhere between two coffees, endless conversations, and that one moment when you suddenly think: Why don’t we just do this?

That is exactly how Amir and I were sitting together. We talked. And we talked. And at some point, we had probably been talking for so long that the coffee had gone cold and the waiter was wondering whether we were planning to order something else or had officially become part of the furniture.

And then the idea came to me.

I love photography. Not just pressing the shutter button, but the feeling of capturing a moment that otherwise might have simply passed by. A beam of light on a street. A glance between two people. A city you have seen a hundred times before, suddenly looking completely new.

Amir shares this passion too. And on top of that, he has something that fits perfectly: he loves creating websites. He enjoys working on designs, ideas, and structures, studies computer science, and is currently looking for a job with a level of determination that deserves its own motivational poster.

So I thought: why not bring it all together? My love for photography, his passion for building websites, and our shared wish to create something of our own.

Something that starts with us, but does not remain only for us.

That is what this website is meant to be. A place where we share photos, tell small stories, show what we are working on, what inspires us, and what ideas are currently floating around in our heads. Maybe not everything will be perfect. Some things will probably be a little chaotic. And we will definitely say more than once: “We’ll make this look better later.” But maybe that is exactly what makes it honest.

This page is meant to grow. With us, with our pictures, with our thoughts, and with every little moment we manage to capture.

Because the most beautiful thing about photographs is that they are special. They can show what words sometimes cannot. They preserve moments that would otherwise disappear. And they allow others to see the world, even just for a moment, through our eyes.

Or better: through our lens.

So this is the beginning. The first post. The first step. What started as a conversation in a café became an idea, the idea became a website, and this website is now meant to become a place where we share our perspective with others.
